According to reports from Sky Sports yesterday evening, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has dismissed reports linking him with a move to the Premier League this summer.
The 27 year-old boasts 133 goals in 281 appearances for Los Blancos, helping fire them to a La Liga title, the 2014 Champions League title and two Copa del Reys since signing from Lyon in summer in 2009.
But Rafa Benitez’ plans to utilise three-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo as a lone centre-forward this season has cast doubts over Benzema’s future at the Bernabeu, leading to continuous links with Arsenal and Manchester United throughout the summer.

In fact, some sources claim some the Emirates outfit have already seen a £32million bid rejected for the 6 foot 2 front man, whilst Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli alleged last week that the France international would have a medical with the Gunners today.
But last night Benzema took to Twitter to quash rumours of a departure from the Spanish capitol, posting on his official page; “For all those clowns who want to make believe things at my fans. Here this is my home! #HalaMadridYNadaMas.”
Rather tellingly, a number of bookies have now suspended betting on him remaining a Real Madrid player by the end of the transfer window.
