Tottenham Hotspur fans have been waxing lyrical after footage emerged of newly appointed manager Antonio Conte during their midweek Europa Conference League victory against Vitesse Arnhem.

The 52-year-old, appointed by the Lilywhites to replace predecessor Nuno Espirito Santo following a poor start to the 2021/22 campaign under the Portuguese, was taking charge of his first game as Spurs boss during Thursday night’s clash against the Dutch outfit, which ultimately turned out in a 3-2 victory for Conte’s side in an incredibly eventful game which saw three red cards shared between the two sides.

Subsequently, many Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to the sensational footage to emerge of the Italian.

What did these Spurs fans make of the video footage?

@Razor_Rockz

“Having the manager relentlessly *scream* “pass, pass,” shows how far this team has fallen and how much Conte can (hopefully) help”

@SyracuseSpurs

“This is another level, I hope they can handle it”

@RheaSolarin

“Exactly the sort of manager I want on the touch line. Constantly organising and issuing instructions, getting the crowd up as well. The atmosphere at the stadium will be phenomenal with a guy like Conte in charge. It simply demands a manager of Conte’s class”

@1882spurs1

“We’ve been crying out for someone to take a grip of this club for so long and shake it up. He’ll bring so much more than just results. It’s a mentality shift”

@TalkingTHFC

Following their victory against Vitesse, Spurs will be hoping they can continue their winning momentum when they take on Everton at Goodison Park today in Conte’s first game in charge as Spurs manager ahead of the international break, before the Lilywhites return to Premier League action when they take on Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Sunday 21st November.
