Benteke DortmundChristian Benteke: Aston Villa – Borussia Dortmund

Villa will be reluctant to get rid of the Belgian forward who ultimately saved Villa from relegation. However a big bid may prove hard to resist. Dortmund see Benteke as the ideal replacement if Robert Lewandowski moves to pastures new. The 22 year old has also been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal. Villa are asking for £25 million in an attempt to scare off any club serious about buying their star man. Villa are looking to sign fellow Belgian, Nacer Chadli, to convince Benteke to stay.

van Ginkel Chelsea

Marco van Ginkel: Vitesse – Chelsea

Chelsea have already held talks with the £8 million rated Dutch midfielder. The 20 year old emerged as a star performer for Vitesse in the Dutch top-flight helping them achieve a 4th place finish. Van Ginkel, who’s contract runs out in 2015, is concerned with the amount of first team football he’d get and this could put a spanner in the works for Chelsea. Advice from big names, including Marc Overmars, could also ruin Chelsea’s plans. The Dutch legend was quick to warn the youngster against the move.

Atsu Liverpool

Christian Atsu: FC Porto – Liverpool

Reports from a couple of weeks ago, suggest that Ghanaian winger, Christian Atsu, is in advanced talks with Liverpool over a £3 million move. The 20 year old’s contract at Porto runs out next summer and he has made it clear that he will not be signing a new one.

Wayne Rooney: Manchester United – FC Barcelona

The biggest transfer saga! Will he, won’t he? At the end of another successful Manchester United season, Rooney announced his desire to leave Old Trafford. It’s not the first time either. But will anything actually happen this year. Plenty of teams are interested in acquiring the services of the 27 year old including PSG, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Newcastle and Barcelona. However talks with David Moyes, Manchester United’s new manager and former manager of Rooney’s former club, Everton, could change his mind again. During Moyes’ first press conference as United manager, he stated that Wayne Rooney is not for sale. Rooney has yet to commit to the club.

Samir Handanovic: Inter Milan – FC Barcelona

Barcelona are desperate for a new ‘keeper, with Victor Valdes likely to leave at the end of his contract. The Slovenian is valued at around £20 million, and his impressive displays for Inter have attracted the attention of Arsenal as they look to find competition for Wojciech Szczesny. Barcelona had been widely believed to be after Liverpool goalkeeper, Pepe Reina, but it seems the Catalan side have set their sights elsewhere.

Geoffrey Kondogbia: Sevilla FC – Real Madrid

According to reports from Marca in Spain, Real Madrid are close to signing their second midfielder in this window following Isco’s arrival. 20 year old Konogbia, who made an impressive 31 appearances for Sevilla in his debut La Liga season, has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal but is likely to favour staying in La Liga. Negotiations for the Sevilla youngster could be complicated though, with a third party (Doyen Group) believed to hold 50% of his rights. According to Marca, the Andalusian club’s president, Jose Maria del Nido, has confirmed a €9m offer from three clubs, one of which is Madrid.

Marquinhos Barcelona

Marquinhos: AS Roma – FC Barcelona

The Catalan giants are hoping to bring in Brazilian teenager, Marquinhos, to the Nou Camp in an attempt to bolster their defence. Barcelona had a £17 million bid for the 19 year old rejected by the Serie A club as they hold out for £25 million. Tito Villanova is looking for new defenders to compete with Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique. Barca have also enquired about Arsenal defender, Laurent Koscielny.

Martinez AtleticoJackson Martinez: FC Porto – Atletico Madrid

Atletico are looking for an out-in-out goal-scorer following Radamel Falcao’s move to AS Monaco. Porto’s Columbian forward has been in prolific form and looks set to follow James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho and Christian Atsu out of the club. In a recent poll Martinez got 27% more votes than Edinson Cavani and Alvaro Negredo, so it’s clear he would become an instant fan favourites. The 26 year old, whose contract has a £40 million buy out clause, has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Real Madrid, Zenit and Anzhi.

Silva Barcelona

Thiago Silva: Paris Saint-Germain – FC Barcelona

It is clear that Barcelona are really stepping up their efforts to strengthen their defence. The interest in Silva emerged after Barcelona manager, Tito Villanova, described the Brazilian as a ‘complete defence’ and that he is Barcelona’s second top target following Neymar, who has already joined the club. PSG however are unwilling to let their captain go.

Another player touted as a replacement for Victor Valdes is German wonderkid Marc Andre ter-Stegen. However Gladbach have rubbished the reports, claiming that he is not for sale. Gladbach have also claimed that Barcelona have yet to make a bid.

Verratti Real Madrid

Marco Verratti: Paris Saint-Germain – Real Madrid

The Italy U21 international has been compared with fellow Italian, Andrea Pirlo, and after a successful season at PSG, Verratti has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as former PSG manager, Carlo Ancelotti looks re-jig his midfield. However the 21 year old has committed his future to the French club, stating that he has no ambition to follow his former manager to Spain.

Sam Byram: Leeds United – Manchester City

The 19 year old has become one of the Championships most sought-after players after blistering performances at right-back for Leeds United. Man City are desperate for a young right-back with Micah Richards poised to leave, Pablo Zabaleta aging and Maicon off form. The England youngster has also been linked with Arsenal. Leeds manager, Brian McDermott insists that Byram will be at Leeds next season.

Cazorla Real Madrid

Santi Cazorla: Arsenal – Real Madrid

Rumours have surfaced that Real Madrid a preparing a surprise bid for Arsenal playmaker, Santi Cazorla. Ancelotti has targeted several players in an attempt to strengthen the midfield. Cazorla, who only joined last season, scored 12 goals and notched 11 assists in the Premier League alone. The Spaniard has been quick to quash the rumours.

Garay Man Utd

Ezequiel Garay: Benfica – Manchester United

Having already signed a replacement, Lisandro Lopez, it seems inevitable that centre-back Ezequiel Garay will leave the Portugese side. Manchester United are said to be in pole position to sign the 27 year old Argentinian. The £17 million rated defender is seen as a replacement for an aging Rio Ferdinand.

Cardozo Fenerbahce

Oscar Cardozo: SL Benfica – Fenerbahce SK

Reports in Turkey suggest that Benfica’s star striker, Oscar Cardozo, has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce. Despite this the two sides are yet to agree on a fee with Benfica holding out for £15 million. The Paraguayan forward is wanted by teams all over Europe including Liverpool and Manchester City. It is likely that he will leave after falling out with the manager, Jorge Jesus. Cardoza pushed Jesus after Benfica lost out on their third and final chance of winning silverware.

Victor Wanyama: Celtic – Galatasaray SK

Galatasaray have joined the race for Kenyan midfielder, Victor Wanyama, after doubts arise over John Obi Mikel’s transfer from Chelsea. The Turkish side face plenty of competition from Liverpool, Cardiff and Southampton. The latter are believed to have agreed a deal with Celtic for the 21 year old, however Turkey’s tax rules could tempt him to join Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba at the Turkish champions.

Gignac Newcastle

Andre-Pierre Gignac: Olympique de Marseille – Newcastle United

Newcastle are deperate to sign a new striker after failing to find a good replacement for Demba Ba in January. Papiss Cisse wasn’t at his best last season and could quit due to religious reasons. The Frenchman would cost £12 million and the 27 year old hasn’t ruled out a move to St James’ Park. However Gignac feels he might get a bigger offer and has told Newcastle that he will wait for bigger offers to come in before making a decision. Everton are also said to be interested.

So there we have it. Who knows which of these, if any, will come to any fruition.

    To me the stories by the medias that chelsea fc are considering the sale of David Luis and Mata is rediclous and mischeiviours, the two players are in the plan of our respectable manager Jose Mourinho. Up blues till internity

    villa dont want Emmanuel Adebayor. who would take him and his crazy wages. the only reason spurs signed him is because city pay a large chunk of his wages which they wont do if he moves to another club. total bs . spurs wish villa would take him as part of a benteke deal but that is not going to happen.

    ade – villa what a bloody joke even seein his face with a villa top is a huuuuge insult take that isht down. i must say barry in a villa top looks fittin jus not into our philosphy over paid and too old and to all the journalist spurs fans u can print 10 articles everyday about our benteke – spurs but we got got a strong manager in charge that takes no isht ask all the top flop earners at the club who are on there way out he will stand firm on this tekkers is his gem he found polished up and added to his collection and stated not for sale unless its stupid amounts of money wich would cripple spurs so the bottom line is….
