The Premier League remains as topsy-turvy as ever:

|

A shock for some came at Anfield, where Liverpool could not beat Sunderland, yet bar his penalty taking abilities, Suarez looked bright and scored, and will be there or there abouts during the player’s awards at the end of the season. Liverpool fans will not panic much, in King Kenny they trust, and will hope their rightful place in the top four will be restored at the end of the season.

Last season’s champions United recorded a victory at a West Brom side that look like doing well this season with Roy Hodgson at the helm, yet victory came at a cost for the Red Devils. Vidic and Ferdinand both left the field with injuries, with Rio looking at 6 weeks on the sidelines, and Vidic having suspected nerve damage. This will not concern Fergie nearly as much as the form of new keeper De Gea, who is looking more Roy Carroll than Van Der Sar, yet Fergie seems intent on sticking with him for the foreseeable future at least. The return of Hernandez will be a welcome one, with Berba clearly out of favour and Welbeck only having a good game if he was auditioning for a part in a side where he was required to be invisible for the duration of the game.

Towards the end of the table no one wishes to be at, Blackburn took the lead and promptly lost it, raising questions over both their team and manager. Rovers are injury hit currently, with a centre back crisis upon them, and with Wenger looking like he will be forced to buy, how long they can keep Chris Samba is debatable. QPR had enough chances before Bolton scored to go ahead, and will learn that they have to be taken in the Premier League, or you can end up losing 4 – 0 after the 90 minutes is up. Everyone’s favourite chef Delia made a welcome return to the premier league with her beloved Norwich, and although she clearly controlled her alcohol levels during the match thus the crowd were not treated to a rendition of ‘let’s be having you’ at half time, her side still managed to a point, yet will still face a relegation battle as the season progresses as will Wigan who shared the spoils yesterday.

Whilst logic would predict a win for Manchester City tonight, the nature of the premier league means that Swansea are in with a chance to surprise us all, whatever the result, it is safe to say that the premier league is back with a bang and thank god for that!

City, UTD, Chelsea are way in front of the rest. Anyone of 7 or 8 teams are poor enough to drop down, Swansea, Wigan and QPR being the favourites due to the weakness of their squads.
