10. Romelu Lukaku

|

Earlier this week, Manchester United were rather interestingly linked to Everton front-man Romelu Lukaku.

No doubt, the Belgium international is blessed with bundles of potential and few strikers have 42 Premier League goals under their belt at the tender age of 22, spanning spells with the Toffees, Chelsea and West Brom.

But his somewhat more wayward form last season highlighted two predominant concerns; firstly, that Lukuka is still a significant distance away from being the complete centre-forward he’s constantly heralded to become; and secondly, that he has a bizarre reluctance to assert his physicality in the classic No.9 manner, despite measuring in at a lofty 6 foot 3.

At this point, it seems Lukaku’s verging towards becoming the next Emmanuel Adebayor rather than the next Didier Drogba. And having joined Everton for £28million only last summer, it’s unlikely United can sign him for a justifiable price.
