Goalkeeper – Petr Cech

|

Acquiring an upgrade on Simon Mignolet will be one of Brendan Rodgers’ first ports of call this summer and there’s no goalkeeper on the market representing better value for money than Chelsea’s Petr Cech.

The Czech international is indisputably one of the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history, boasting four league titles, the 2012 Champions League title, three Golden Glove awards and 332 appearances as the Blues No.1.

He’s been unfortunate enough to find himself stuck behind the supremely talented Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order this season but at 32 years of age is still firmly within his goalkeeping prime.

Liverpool have been mooted as likely suitors by many, alongside Arsenal. But a lack of Champions League football could cost the Reds – and despite allegedly valuing Cech at just £10million, Chelsea are reluctant to sell to a divisional rival.
