The inspiration for this list, Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca’s release clause is apparently set at the more than reasonable figure of just £21.3million.
The Colombian international has been in fantastic form since moving to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan two summers ago; last season, his 21 goals in all competitions helped fire Sevilla to the Europa League title, but he’s already surpassed that haul this year in just 44 appearances, bringing his return for Sevillistas to 43 goals in 96 outings.
Famed for his power, pace and unorthodox style, the 28 year-old seems a good fit for the Premier League and Manchester United are expected to undergo a bit of a front-line reshuffle this summer, with Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao potentially heading for the Old Trafford exit door.
Bacca might not quite meet the calibre of Europe’s leading front-men, but he’d be a strong back-up option to Wayne Rooney.
