Goalkeeper – Petr Cech

|

David Ospina has performed well since taking the No.1 mantle from Wojciech Szczesny, keeping six clean sheets in twelve Premier League starts, but Chelsea’s Petr Cech is on a whole different level.

The Czech international is up there with the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history, boasting three (almost four) English titles, a Champions League title and 331 league appearances, and at 32 years of age is still in his prime.

The Blues icon is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after losing his starting berth to the prodigious Thibaut Courtois and he’s more than likely to stay in the Premier League, due to his immense experience and compatibility with the English game.

The tabloids believe he’s available for around £10million – but the Chelsea hierarchy could refuse to sell to such a close divisional rival.

Alternatives: Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic, Inter Milan’s Samir Handanovic
