Watford want to make Tom Cleverley’s loan deal a permanent move in the summer.
According to a report in The Sun both Walter Mazzarri and the player are keen to make sure that Cleverley stays on at Vicarage Road.
The one time England midfielder lost his way at Everton with Ronald Koeman happy to agree a loan deal with a rival Premier League side.
Cleverley, who also had a loan stint at Watford while a Manchester United player, has found his form and more importantly a regular game since his January switch.
Everton signed Cleverley on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2015 but would have paid the player a substantial transfer fee to make the move.
Koeman has made it clear that the 27-year-old has no future at Goodison Park with Watford needing to come up with the right terms to ensure that they hold on to Cleverley on a permanent basis.
