Tottenham Hotspur have been named as one of the clubs in with a chance of landing a summer transfer deal for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Antonio Conte has not been shy when it has come to approaching his former clubs to sign some of their players and bring them to Spurs.
For example, figures such as Ivan Perisic, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur have all joined the north London club from the likesof Inter and Juventus – both of whom Conte has managed during his career.
Now though, it has been revealed that Spurs are in the frame to sign another player currently on the books at one of Conte’s former sides.
According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Spurs, alongside Bayern Munich and Manchester United, could be in with a chance of signing Vlahovic this summer.
However, it has been claimed that only a significant offer, specifically one that would see Juventus recoup the money they spent to sign the striker, would be enough to secure his signature.
Back in the 2022 January transfer window, Juventus secured a deal for the Serbian worth a reported fee of £66.6m from fellow Italian club Fiorentina, where he scored 49 goals in 108 appearances.
Previously described by Vincenzo Italiano – his former manager at Fiorentina – as an ‘extraordinary striker’, Vlahovic has shown how capable he is of scoring goals throughout his time in Italy.
Since his arrival in Turin, the 23-year-old has found the net 19 times in 45 appearances for his current side, where he is picking up a higher weekly wage than any other player at the club with £222k per week.
Would you like to see Spurs sign Dusan Vlahovic?
Yes
No
Bearing in mind how current Spurs striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move to United recently, should this move end up happening, securing a deal for the Juventus star could be an ideal solution for the Lilywhites.
With all of that taken into account, if Juventus are open to cashing in on the centre-forward, Spurs should definitely put themselves at the front of the queue to secure a deal for him.
