Tottenham Hotspur have identified three candidates to potentially replace Antonio Conte at the north London club.
After seeing his side crash out of the FA Cup and the Champions League, doubts have emerged regarding the Italian’s position at the club and his future.
Despite winning their latest Premier League match, some behind-the-scenes details have emerged regarding who Daniel Levy sees as potential successors to the 53-year-old.
According to a recent report from Football Insider, Spurs have Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique on their shortlist to potentially replace Conte.
The report also adds that should Spurs want to appoint Tuchel, they’ll have to secure Champions League football next season to do so.
During his spell at Chelsea, the German took the Blues to the Champions League final, which they ended up winning, before he was eventually sacked back in September.
Then with Pochettino, he has significantly more experience of managing in the Premier League than Tuchel, having had spells in charge of Southampton and Spurs.
Finally, in regards to Enrique, he may not have managed in England before, but he has been highly successful elsewhere by winning the Champions League and numerous other trophies with Barcelona.
Which of these three managers would you most like to see replace Conte at Spurs?
Thomas Tuchel
Mauricio Pochettino
Luis Enrique
With all of that in mind, it’s easy to see why these three managers are reportedly on Levy’s radar.
As things stand, Conte revealed that he will have talks with the club at the end of the season regarding his future, which means that unless Levy decides to sack the Italian before that point, potentially hiring either of the three managers mentioned in this latest report won’t likely be happening before the summer.
Moving forward, if Spurs don’t have a strong end to their season and decide to get rid of their current manager in the summer, they’ll have to hope their reported managerial candidates are still available by that time and can be convinced to take the job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
