Newcastle United are reportedly one of the clubs that could launch a summer transfer move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian only joined Juventus back in the 2022 January transfer window from Fiorentina, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal worth a reported fee of £66.6m, but now could be facing an early exit from the club, with numerous sides across Europe circling.

According to a recent report from Calciomercato (via Sport Witness), Newcastle are alongside the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in terms of clubs that could make a move to sign Vlahovic this summer.

How well do you remember Newcastle's January transfer window? An easy one to start with: where did Newcastle sign Bruno Guimaraes from?

The report also adds that with the striker not showing his best for Juventus this season and manager Massimiliano Allegri not being able to get the best out of him, the Italian club could be tempted to cash in on the player once the summer window opens.

The 23-year-old joined Juventus having scored 49 goals in 108 appearances for Fiorentina and has since gone on to find the net 19 times in 47 games for the Old Lady, with eight of those goals coming in this current Serie A campaign across 17 appearances.

Despite the reported uncertainty surrounding him and his future at Juventus, the striker has still shown how much of a capable attacking figure he is, specifically by having the fourth-highest average of shots per game (3.1) in the entire division, putting him above the likes of Olivier Giroud (2.7) and Ciro Immobile (2.5).

Hailed by journalist Josh Bunting for his “phenomenal” goalscoring form, Vlahovic could be an ideal signing for Newcastle given how eight clubs have scored more goals than them (37) in the league this season, with top scorers Manchester City finding the net 30 more times than the Magpies.

With all of that in mind, if Eddie Howe wants to add a new striker to his squad in the summer, securing a deal for the £219k-per-week centre-forward could be the best way for them to do that and help push the team forward.
