Manchester United are reportedly willing to launch a transfer move to secure a deal for Harry Kane during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The previous summer transfer window saw the Red Devils prove how comfortable they are when it comes to spending big amounts of money to bring in new players such as Antony and Casemiro.

Looking ahead to the upcoming window, it has been revealed that the Old Trafford outfit are once again ready to splash the cash to secure a deal for someone close to home.

In this quiz, we will take a look at who topped the club's scoring charts and when. First, who was United's top scorer this season?

According to a recent report from Football Insider, Erik ten Hag’s number one priority this summer is to bring in a top-quality centre-forward, with Kane firmly in the frame.

The report also adds that United are and willing to pay over £100m to sign the Spurs striker, who is set to enter the final year of his contract at the north London club this summer.

Having brought in Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley back in January, only to see him fail to score a goal in eight Premier League appearances so far, it’s understandable why Ten Hag wants to bring in a new striker this summer.

With Kane finding the back of the net 21 times in 28 league appearances this season, it’s easy to see why United have identified him as their main target and are apparently willing to pay whatever it takes to land him.

Would you be happy to see Man United spend over £100m to sign Harry Kane this summer?

No

Praised for his “sensational” football in the past by Graeme Souness, the £200k-per-week centre-forward has previously shared his desire to win team trophies, which is something that he hasn’t been able to do with Spurs.

Bearing in mind how United have already won the Carabao Cup this season and are in the running to win the FA Cup and Europa League, a switch to Old Trafford could be a tempting proposition for the 29-year-old.
