Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Napoli defender Kim Min-jae during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Old Trafford outfit have been linked with another Napoli player in recent weeks – Victor Osimhen.

Now though, it has been revealed that the Premier League club have set their sights on another player on the books at the Italian club.

In this quiz, we will take a look at who topped the club's scoring charts and when. First, who was United's top scorer this season?

According to a recent report from Football Insider, Erik ten Hag is keen on signing Kim this summer to try and strengthen his defence.

The report also adds that the 26-year-old has a release clause worth £43m that runs for two weeks in July, although Napoli, who value Kim at around £60m, are working hard behind the scenes to offer the centre-back a new deal that eradicates this clause.

Kim joined Napoli from Fenerbahce during the previous summer transfer window and has since gone on to make 35 appearances for the club across all competitions.

This season has seen the South Korean show across his 26 Serie A appearances this season how much of a top-quality defender he is.

For example, not only has the centre-back made more clearances (102), won more aerial duels (72) and made more interceptions (30) than any other player at Napoli, Kim also has the second-highest number of recoveries (169) and third-highest for successful tackles (24).

Would Kim Min-jae be a good signing for Man United?

No

No

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti has shared his praise for the defender this season by saying this about him.

He said: “Kim Min-Jae is the best centre-back in the world right now. Kim does at least 20 incredible things per game. When he starts the run with the ball at his feet, he can get it into the opposition penalty area in 5 seconds flat!”

With all of that in mind, and recent reports suggesting United could be looking to get rid of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof this summer, securing a deal for the Napoli star could be a very smart way for Ten Hag to add some extra strength to his backline.
