Arsenal are reportedly ready to launch a summer transfer move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Serbian previously, but now look to finally have the opportunity to land a deal for him in the coming months.

According to a recent report from Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness) Arsenal and Juventus are ready to make a move to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

Where did Arsenal sign these players from, let's start with an easy one! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

With his contract at Lazio set to expire in the summer of 2024, the midfielder doesn’t want to sign a new deal at the club, who also don’t want to lose him as a free agent, therefore making a summer exit this year the likeliest option.

The report also adds that while the Serie A side are looking to pick up €50m (£44m) for the player, his agents are looking to move him for a fee between €35m – €40m (£30m – £35m).

During his time with Lazio, the 28-year-old has scored 64 goals and delivered 59 assists in 328 appearances across all competitions.

This season has seen the midfielder score four goals and supply eight assists in 24 league appearances, earning himself an overall performance rating of 7.27/10 from WhoScored, making him the fifth-highest rated player in Serie A.

Across those appearances, the Serbia international has made more key passes (34) than any other player at the club as well as having the second-highest combined total of tackles and interceptions (64) to his name, showing how effective he is on and off the ball.

This also backs up why journalist Jerry Mancini described Milinkovic-Savic as a “phenomenal” player and why we feel he’d be a strong addition to Mikel Arteta’s ranks this summer.

Moving forward, if Arsenal think signing the Lazio star would be a suitable move for them from a financial and footballing point of view, they should do all they can to convince the player to start a new chapter in his career in the Premier League.
