Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to launch a summer transfer move for Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
The 31-year-old, also known as Bono, initially joined Sevilla on a loan deal from Girona back in 2019, before becoming a permanent fixture at the Spanish club in 2020.
Overall, the Moroccan has made 128 appearances for his current side across all competitions, keeping 56 assists in the process.
With over two years left on his contract with Sevilla, the goalkeeper has found himself being linked with a move to England in the summer.
According to a recent report from Spanish media outlet AS, Spurs are eyeing a summer move for the shot-stopper after previously making contact with Sevilla to discover his price tag.
The report also adds that the north London club are not the only Premier League side expected to make a move for the Sevilla star in the summer, with Manchester United and West Ham United also looking at him.
This season has seen Bono, who has been hailed for his “monster” saves in the past by journalist Ives Galarcep, feature in all but two of the Spanish club’s 21 La Liga games, saving 55 of the 81 shots on target he’s faced. He also made it to the final three for the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper Award last year.

In addition to that, the Moroccan has made more defensive actions outside his penalty area (30) than any other goalkeeper in the division.
His efforts in La Liga this season have earned the goalkeeper an overall performance rating of 6.58/10 from WhoScored, making him the sixth-highest-rated player at Sevilla that has started more than two games.
Bearing in mind how Hugo Lloris is set to enter the final year of his contract at Spurs in the summer, Bono could be the club’s ideal potential replacement for the 36-year-old, who has been criticised for some of his play at times this season.
Moving forward, if bringing in a new goalkeeper turns out to be a priority for Spurs once the summer transfer window opens, they should definitely see what it would take to land a deal for the Sevilla star.
