Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a summer transfer move for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The north London club have not been shy when it comes to spending money on bringing new players to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent years.

With a few months left before the next summer transfer window opens for business, it has been revealed that the Lilywhites already have their eyes on a potential target, as do some of their top-flight rivals.

Speaking to TeamTalk, journalist Graeme Bailey had this to say about Pickford and the interest in him.

He said: “As it stands, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United could all be on the look out for new number ones and Pickford is admired by them all.

“Pickford is about to turn 29 and if he wants a big move, this summer could very well be his big chance.”

How well do you know where these Spurs signings came from? Take our quiz to find out! Firstly, where did Dimitar Berbatov arrive from?

The shot-stopper joined Everton back in the 2017 summer transfer window from Sunderland in a deal worth a reported fee of £30m.

Since then, he’s gone on to make 220 appearances for the Merseyside club across all competitions, keeping 58 clean sheets along the way.

His endeavours for the Toffees this season have proved how much of a capable goalkeeper he is and why he is admired by the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and United.

For example, with 103 shots on target faced, Pickford, who has been hailed for his “spectacular” international performances by journalist Paul Brown, has saved 75 of them, leaving him with the seventh-highest save percentage (74.8%) in the league.

In addition to that, the £100k-per-week Englishman has the highest percentage of launched passes in the league (51.9%) and the highest average length of launched passes (40.4 yards).

Bearing in mind how Hugo Lloris is set to see his contract at Spurs expire in the summer of 2024, securing a deal for Pickford could be the ideal way for the Lilywhites to land their ideal heir for the 36-year-old.

Moving forward, taking all of this into account, we feel that Antonio Conte’s side should do all they can to beat Chelsea and United to Pickford’s signature in the summer.
