Leeds United journalist Phil Hay has shared his reaction to chants being sung by Whites supporters against the current hierarchy at the Yorkshire club during their recent 1-0 defeat against Everton in the Premier League.

After losing 2-0 to Manchester United at Elland Road last weekend, Leeds fell to another defeat on Saturday as a goal from Seamus Coleman secured all three points for the Toffees, leaving the Whites with nothing.

In addition to the disappointment on the pitch, something note-worthy was picked up from the away end involving the travelling fans.

Leeds United fans, who were these players sold to? Starting with an easy one: Alan Smith

In a Twitter post during the match at Goodison Park, Hay revealed that chants of ‘sack the board’ were being sung by Leeds supporters.

In a following post, the journalist had this to say on the matter.

He said: “Followed by ‘Orta, time to go.’ Not difficult to understand the frustration. This has felt desperate to this point. Greenwood about to join the fray. #lufc.”

Taking into account how Leeds currently find themselves in the relegation zone with just 19 points on the board from 23 games, it’s easy to see why the supporters are not happy at the moment.

Do you think Leeds will get relegated this season?

Yes

No

No

In terms of their disdain towards the board, the fact that the Leeds hierarchy are yet to hire a new permanent manager following the departure of Jesse Marsch earlier this month, after numerous failed attempts to do so, could be why they sang these chants at Goodison.

Looking back on the defeat against Sean Dyche’s side, seeing Leeds fail to register even one shot on target in the game makes it understandable why Hay described the performance as desperate and why it wouldn’t have filled many supporters with confidence that the club are going in the right direction.

Moving forward, it’s getting to the point where the Yorkshire club need to start getting things right on and off the pitch or else they could be on their way to the Championship for next season.

Yes your right i haven’t seen a board member score a goal all season, but then again thats why we have player’s now if these said players don’t play what next ? To say the players are scared, pathetic, disgusting, shameful and with absolutely no pride in wearing the shirt while representing such a great club maybe we should sack the players well most of them… what a set of wankers
