Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is reportedly considering his future at Elland Road after almost leaving the Yorkshire club towards the end of the recent January transfer window.

Earlier this week, it was reported that on deadline day, Harrison travelled to Leicester City and was in the midst of having a medical there in preparation for a potential transfer move to the Midlands club, only for Leeds to change their mind about letting him go.

Now, some extra details have come to light regarding the Englishman’s current mindset about his future at the club, where his current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024.

According to a recent report from 90 Min, the winger is considering his options as Leeds look to push for talks over extending his contract.

The report also adds that Harrison, who also had the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa looking at him, will only consider signing fresh terms if he feels he’s an important part of Jesse Marsch’s plans moving forward.

This season has seen the 26-year-old show how much of a key figure he is for the team and why we feel securing him to a new contract should be a top priority for them.

Specifically, with 20 appearances to his name across all competitions, the winger has scored two goals and delivered seven assists whilst playing across a range of different positions, further showcasing his usefulness to Marsch.

Harrison’s latest appearance saw him score what Statman Dave described as a “sublime” goal in Leeds’ recent 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup.

His overall performances in the league have earned the attacker a season rating of 6.71/10 from WhoScored, making him the fourth-highest rated player at Leeds.

Moving forward, we feel that the Whites need to do all they can to convince Harrison to pledge his future to the club and sign a new deal as soon as possible.
