Arsenal journalist Kaya Kaynak has praised Leandro Trossard for his efforts in the Gunners’ recent 1-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League.
The north London club followed up last weekend’s 4-2 win over Aston Villa by picking up another three points in the Midlands thanks to a goal from Gabriel Martinelli.
Following the game at the King Power Stadium, Kaynak picked out Trossard and felt he deserved praise for his endeavours in the match.
In a recent Twitter post, the journalist had this to say about Trossard.
He said: “Not too many standouts from #AFC today but thought Leandro Trossard looked really good in the false nine. Unlucky not to get a goal. Really assured display from Gabriel at the back too.”
With 28 minutes on the clock, Trossard had a goal ruled out through VAR after Ben White looked to have held Leicester goalkeeper Danny Ward in the build-up.
Despite that, the Belgian put in a solid display before being replaced by Eddie Nketiah after 70 minutes.
During his time on the pitch, the attacker had 39 touches of the ball in total, accurately completing 20 of the 25 passes he attempted.
Who had a better performance against Leicester?
Leandro Trossard
Gabriel Magalhaes
He also made one key pass, completed both dribbles he attempted and made one tackle and one interception for his side, ultimately earning himself a match rating of 7.5/10 from SofaScore, making him the highest-rated Arsenal player on the day.
