Wolves are interested in bringing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Molineux on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano revealed that Wolves are amongst a host of clubs interested in signing the Manchester United right-back until the end of the season.

Although the Englishman was reported by The Sun in November to be on the move in January with his game time severely limited at the beginning of the campaign, it now seems that the task of prising the 25-year-old away from Old Trafford will be a lot tougher than before the World Cup.

With Diogo Dalot struggling with injury problems since returning from Qatar, Wan-Bissaka has now played the full 90 minutes in three of the last four Premier League games, with him now taking his chance under Erik ten Hag and even being dubbed “excellent” by writer Liam Canning following the Manchester derby.

Even still, given Dalot has been the first-choice right-back all season, he may yet reclaim his place upon return, potentially leaving United open to letting Wan-Bissaka leave on loan, with Romano telling GiveMeSport that it’s one to keep an eye on.

He said: “Crystal Palace and Wolves in the last weeks have asked about him. West Ham also asked in December but that’s gone quieter. Palace and Wolves are really interested in Wan-Bissaka so let’s see how the conversation with the player and with Man United will go.”

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

Despite a mini-renaissance since being given the opportunity following the World Cup, Wan-Bissaka will still likely be keen to head for more nailed-on first-team action.

Wolves have turned a corner under Julen Lopetegui, who has also been linked with bringing the likes of Pablo Sarabia and Joao Gomes to Molineux this month. Indeed, the Old Gold have picked up seven points from a possible 12 to move out of the drop zone.

They’ll be intent on pressing on and avoiding a relegation struggle altogether, with Nelson Semedo still unconvincing at right-back.

Based on his recent performances, Wan-Bissaka could be an ideal option to strengthen the squad, but with him now proving himself in the United side and the Red Devils reported to have no money to spend in the window (via The Daily Mail), it seems unlikely that Wolves can bring him to Molineux.
