Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a transfer move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
Brentford signed the 27-year-old back in the 2019 summer transfer window from Championship club Blackburn Rovers.
Since then, the shot-stopper has gone on to make 141 appearances for the Bees across all competitions, keeping 47 clean sheets in the process.
With the Spaniard set to enter the final year of his contract with Thomas Frank’s side at the end of the season, he has already found himself being linked with a move away from the club.
According to a recent report from The Telegraph, the north London club are keen on signing a new goalkeeper at the end of the season, with Raya being a potential candidate to replace Hugo Lloris.
This latest Premier League season has seen the former Rovers figure show how much of an impressive goalkeeper he is and why Spurs have set their sights on him.
Specifically, having faced more shots on target (105) than any other ‘keeper in the league, Raya has made more saves (79) than any of his fellow shot-stoppers.
This has left him with a save percentage of 74.3%, which is the sixth-highest in the league out of goalkeepers that have made at least 10 appearances.
Would you be happy to see Spurs sign David Raya?

No
In addition to that, Raya has stopped the joint-highest number of crosses into his 18-yard box (26) this season, alongside Aston Villa’s World Cup-winning shot-stopper Emi Martinez.
His overall performances have earned the Spaniard a season rating of 6.98/10 from WhoScored, making him the third-highest rated player at Brentford.
Having been hailed for his “outrageous” saves in the past by David Preece, the Brentford star showed Spurs exactly what they would be getting as he frustrated Antonio Conte’s side in December’s 2-2 draw between the two teams where he made six saves in total.
Taking all of this into account, we feel that Raya would be a great signing for Tottenham and give them a very capable goalkeeper that has the pedigree of being a top Premier League shot-stopper.
