Southampton are not looking to allow Che Adams to leave the club this month, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
The striker has recently been linked with a move away from the south coast club before tomorrow’s January transfer deadline, with fellow Premier League club, Everton, reportedly interested.
However, some behind-the-scenes details have emerged regarding Southampton’s stance on the Scotsman and his position at the club.
In a recent Twitter post, Crook had this to say on the matter.
He said: “Told there is no truth in claims Che Adams will be allowed to leave #SaintsFC this month. Not even under consideration.”
Southampton signed the 26-year-old back in the 2019 summer transfer window from Birmingham City in a deal worth a reported fee of around £15m.
Since then, the centre-forward has gone on to make 134 appearances for the Saints across all competitions, scoring 29 goals and delivering 14 assists along the way.
