Manchester United have got themselves in a good place to finish their latest Premier League season in a Champions League place.
With 17 games played, the Red Devils have racked up 35 points, which puts them level with Newcastle United, who are above the Manchester club on goal difference.
One player in Erik ten Hag’s squad that has been a pivotal figure in getting the team where they are is Bruno Fernandes.
Having racked up more minutes than any other outfield player at the club, Fernandes has found the net on two occasions and provided three assists.
In addition to that, the midfielder has made more key passes (44) and more shot-creating actions (79) than any other player at the club.
With Ten Hag in the midst of his first January transfer window in charge of United, the Dutchman could look to add some extra firepower to his squad in an effort to secure their place in the top four by the end of the season.
One player that has been mentioned with a move to Old Trafford recently that we feel would do this and give the manager the chance to form a potentially deadly duo alongside Fernandes is Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus.
Would Kudus be a good signing for Man United?
Yes
No
This season has seen the Ghanaian, who has been described as “unstoppable” in the past by journalist Gary Al-Smith, score 10 goals in 21 appearances for his current side across all competitions.
To further highlight his attacking prowess, the 22-year-old has racked up the second-highest rate of shots on target per 90 minutes (1.79) at the Dutch club in the Eredivisie this season.
If United were to add Kudus and his clinical edge to their squad and play him alongside Fernandes who has shown how capable he is of setting up goalscoring opportunities, this could be a dream duo for Ten Hag to have at his disposal and a scary one for opposition defenders to come up against.
