Manchester United have been linked with a potential move for Real Betis forward Luiz Henrique.

The 22-year-old is primarily a left-footed attacker who plays as a right winger but can also line out on the opposite flank. He only made the move to Betis last summer after racking up 118 appearances for his former club Fluminense.

Sponsored by Adidas, the Brazilian has contributed to eight goals in 22 games during the current campaign, and it looks as if he has caught the eye at Old Trafford.

Sport Witness relayed an update from ABC Sevilla regarding Henrique on Saturday. They claim that United are following the forward, who has been described as a ‘diamond in the rough’, and have sent scouts to watch him live.

The report adds that the Red Devils have Henrique ‘well noted’ but are yet to make their move.

TIF thoughts on possible Henrique move…

Erik ten Hag has recently bolstered his attacking ranks by bringing in Wout Weghorst on loan, so a January move for Henrique may not be realistic.

The Red Devils currently have a number of wide options on the books, including the free-scoring Marcus Rashford and exciting youngster Alejandro Garnacho.

Therefore, you could say that a move for Henrique at this moment in time shouldn’t be a priority at Old Trafford, with the club possibly benefitting from looking at other areas of the squad instead.
