Leeds United are still keen on signing Birmingham City teenager George Hall, according to The Daily Mail’s Simon Jones.

The Whites have seemingly been watching Hall for a while now as they were first linked with a move for the 18-year-old back in April and even made an offer for his services over the summer.

As we know, a move never materialised, however, reports prior to the New Year suggested that the club were finally closing in on a transfer.

Speculation has once again cooled in recent weeks with Leeds signing Max Wober from RB Salzburg and agreeing on a deal with Hoffenheim for forward Georginio Rutter, but it seems as if Elland Road officials still have the versatile midfielder on their radar.

MOT Leeds News relayed an update from Thursday’s print edition of The Daily Mail, with Jones looking at Leeds’ move for Rutter.

The journalist finished his story by saying that the club are ‘also keen on Hall’ – so it seems they still haven’t moved on from this one.

TIF thoughts on Hall…

Hall is primarily a central midfielder but can also play further forward or on either flank. He has made 18 appearances in the Championship this season, with Birmingham U18s lead coach Martyn Olorenshaw labelling him as an ‘explosive’ and ‘really exciting player’.

Therefore, a winter window swoop could be a smart idea by Leeds, who could look to include him in Jesse Marsch’s first-team plans while also turning out for the U21s.

Another option would be to loan him out for the second half of the season, aiming to further his development by playing regular first-team football.
