Everton are reportedly eyeing Sheffield United’s attacker Iliman Ndiaye according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Toffees have also been linked with a move for Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma, who is apparently close to joining Frank Lampard’s side.
The Goodison Park outfit are also reportedly looking to add more attacking options to their squad with Anthony Gordon being linked with a move away from the club this month.
With just over a week before the January transfer window shuts, a new name has emerged that the Toffees have on their radar.
In a recent Twitter post, Romano had this to say on the matter.
He said: “Sheffield United’s starboy Iliman Ndiaye, attracting interest from Premier League clubs. He has 10 goals and 7 assists this season, proposals could arrive soon – also Everton are tracking him. Understand player and Sheffield [United] plan is to stay until the end of the season.”
In addition to his goals and assists as Romano mentioned, the Senegal attacker has also racked up the highest average of dribbles per game (1.9) in the Championship this season at the Yorkshire club as well as the fourth-highest for key passes (1.1) per game and the second-highest for shots per game (1.8).
His overall performances have earned the attacker a solid season rating of 7.22/10 from WhoScored, making him the fourth-highest-rated player in the Championship.
Do Everton need to sign more attacking players this month?
Yes
No
This highlights how much of an attacking threat he is on the ball and why Everton have their eyes on him.
With 17 goals for United to his name in 65 senior appearances, the 22-year-old has been described as a “magician” by teammate Anel Ahmedhodzic.
Even though Romano has claimed that Ndiaye’s plan is to stay at Bramall Lane until the end of the season, we feel that Everton should definitely make an approach to the player once they get Danjuma through the door to try and convince the United star to make a move to Goodison Park this month.
