Everton have had some troubles in front of goal this season in terms of finding the net on a regular basis.
Specifically, with just 14 league goals scored in 18 games, only two clubs have scored fewer than the Toffees and had fewer shots at goal than them (180) as well.
Now that the Merseyside club are in the midst of another January transfer window, they have been linked with one player that could well be the much-needed spark in Frank Lampard’s side – Dango Ouattara.
Having scored five goals and delivered five assists in 16 Ligue 1 appearances for FC Lorient this season, this is more goal contributions than any Everton player has been able to deliver in the Premier League this season.

Having been linked with a £60m move away from Goodison Park during the previous summer transfer window, there have been reports suggesting the likes of Tottenham Hotspur could be interested in signing the winger, who was slammed by Alan Shearer for a ‘silly’ incident, this month.
With other claims suggesting that the Toffees have had trouble getting the Englishman to sign a new deal at Goodison Park, selling him could be a way for them to get a significant amount of money in that they could use to strengthen their squad.
Even though he’s scored three league goals this season, making him Everton’s joint-top scorer for the campaign as things stand, cashing in on him and seeing a competent and consistent attacking player like Ouattara come in could be a smart move for the club to make.
