Everton transfer target Anthony Elanga is reportedly set to see a decision made by Manchester United about whether or not they will loan him out of the club this month.

With 116 appearances for United under his belt across their senior and youth sides, the winger has found the net 30 times and delivered 19 assists.

Last month, it was reported that Everton are interested in signing the 20-year-old, who has started seven of the 18 appearances he’s made for Erik ten Hag’s side this season across all competitions.

According to Fabrizio Romano in his latest column for Caught Offside, United will be making a decision about the possibility of loaning Elanga out this month, with Everton being one of the clubs interested in securing a deal for him.

Do you remember who Alex Iwobi was signed from?

Having been deployed on both wings and in the centre-forward role at times this season, this highlights the versatility Elanga has and how he’d be able to be a useful attacking option for Frank Lampard at Everton if they end up signing him.

Described by journalist Tyrone Marshall as having “electric” pace, the winger has shown how much of a dangerous player he can be going forward, as he currently has the fifth-highest rate of shot-creating actions per 90 minutes (3.63) at United for this current league campaign.

Bearing in mind how the Toffees have one of the lowest rates of shot-creating actions per 90 minutes (17.37) this season, it’s easy to see why they have been mentioned with a move for Elanga, who could benefit from making a move to Goodison Park if he’d be able to play regularly.

Moving forward, with Everton in the relegation zone, they will surely have their fingers crossed that United will allow Elanga to leave the club on loan this month, giving the green light for the Toffees to make an offer for him and potentially see the winger help save the club from going down.
