Crystal Palace fell to a third successive loss in all competitions on Sunday afternoon following a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Patrick Vieira made three changes from last weekend’s FA Cup defeat to Southampton, but despite a promising first-half display, they came away with nothing following Kai Havertz’s goal shortly after the hour mark. The defeat leaves the Eagles in 12th place, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

This is Futbol have used statistical experts SofaScore to analyse who Palace’s three worst outfield performers were on the day to have featured for at least 60 minutes.

Jordan Ayew – 6.2/10

Ayew lined out on the right-hand side but didn’t have the best of games. He lost 11 of his 18 duels and lost possession a whopping 17 times.

The forward was unsuccessful in five of his seven dribbles, committed two fouls and failed to register a cross or shot during his 69-minute display.

Tyrick Mitchell – 6.3/10

Mitchell also lost the ball on 17 occasions and missed a big chance to score his first goal of the season.

The left-back lost seven of his 12 duels, failed to complete any of his three attempted crosses and was dribbled past three times on a disappointing afternoon for him.

Nathaniel Clyne – 6.4/10

Palace’s other full-back Clyne completes the list, failing to make an interception all afternoon. He lost possession 16 times, came off second best in four of his eight duels and committed two fouls.

He also completed just one of his five attempted long balls, making it an afternoon to forget for the experienced defender in west London.
