Former AC Milan manager and footballing legend Arrigo Sacchi has claimed that Hakim Ziyech would be a good signing for the Rossoneri.

Sacchi, who won two European Cups and a Scudetto in his time in charge of Milan, spoke to Gazetta Dello Sport and stated that the Chelsea winger’s technical ability would make him a smart pickup in January.

Milan have been strongly linked with the Morocco star, who looks set to leave Chelsea after starting just one Premier League game this season.

The former Ajax star has shown his quality at the World Cup, helping Morocco beat Spain to reach the quarter-finals, and the 29-year-old can still provide a lot of creativity.

AC Milan, good move. Ziyech has quality, technique and speed. If he can adapt, he will become a hit. He can act in the three roles behind the striker,” Saachi stated.

TIF thoughts on Ziyech…

With Milan eight points behind Napoli at the top of Serie A, they will need any boost they can get, and picking up such an experienced player mid-season would be a solid addition.

Summer signing Charles De Ketelaere has disappointed, with zero goals and one assist so far, and the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Leeds United.

Should he make this move, then Ziyech can come in as an immediate, proven replacement, who Sacchi rightfully claims, can cover any of the positions behind the striker.

With Rafael Leao providing a speedy outlet on the left wing, Ziyech can progress the ball forward from the right, and as he ranks in the top 15% of attacking midfielders for progressive passes, he will bring additional quality to this role.
