Tottenham Hotspur have an eye on the Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as a potential replacement for their 35-year-old Hugo Lloris.
This is according to journalist Ben Jacobs who has been discussing Tottenham’s plans to replace the Frenchman when speaking on the Chris Cowlin YouTube channel.
There have been some suggestions that Spurs are now turning their attention to potentially finding a long-term replacement for Lloris in the months to come.
Lloris has now been playing in north London for over 10 years since making the move from Lyon and he has gone on to make 437 appearances for the Lilywhites.
However, having signed a short contract extension back in January, it now seems as if his time is coming to an end in N17 with Pickford a player who is on Fabio Paratici’s watchlist:
“So there’s a few names I think that Tottenham will consider. Everton’s Jordan Pickford is one for sure if we’re looking at a Premier League player, and I know that Tottenham are big admirers of him.”

Pickford – hailed as “sensational” – has established himself as England’s number one over the years and has performed pretty well for the Three Lions across the recent international tournaments.
Would Pickford be a good replacement?
Yes
No
And considering he has been involved in some disappointing seasons at Goodison Park, you would imagine if a club playing Champions League football – like Spurs – came calling, it would attract his attention. Though he is on a rather large pay packet of £110k per week.
Lloris has made double (two) the number of errors as Pickford has leading to goals this season and the Sunderland-born ace is known for his impressive distribution – something Lloris is not.
However, there may be some concerns over Pickford’s lack of experience at the top end on a week-to-week basis given his Everton side have often been battling away at the bottom end of the table.
