Tottenham Hotspur could see the return of some of their World Cup players who earned themselves a spot in the final weekend of the competition ahead of Boxing Day.

This has been suggested by the reliable Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold who has been speaking ahead of the Premier League restart on his latest YouTube video.

Three Spurs players represented their countries across the final weekend in Qatar in the form of Cristian Romero, Hugo Lloris and Ivan Perisic.

Starting with the club's £60m summer signing, which of these players could Richarlison be facing?

It has been reported that Harry Kane has only just made his return to training at Hotspur Way with just a matter of days until the away trip to Brentford on Monday.

And it seems as if there is now the possibility to see some of the aforementioned trio return to the action in Antonio Conte’s Boxing Day squad:

(19:40) “I asked around before I did this video of people in the club about whether there was any chance of any of those three being back for the Brentford game and I was told possibly, so that’s something to hold on to.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

This would be a huge boost for the Italian if he could see at least one of his regular starters come back into the fold given their spot in the top four is hanging in the balance.

Do you expect Romero to return for Monday?

Yes

No

No

Romero has had his injury issues this season and it feels as the celebrations go on, a potential return for him on Monday would feel like a stretch.

However, with the likes of Lloris and Perisic, it does feel as if they are two players fit enough and with enough experience to return to N17 over the weekend and slot straight back into the XI on Monday.
