Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison is now set to miss around five-six weeks of action following the latest scan on his hamstring injury.

This is according to the reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold who has been speaking on his latest YouTube channel about the Brazilian forward.

It was a World Cup filled with mixed emotions for the 25-year-old who set the stage alight across Brazil’s five games, however, it seems like he was handed a double-blow in their defeat to Croatia as he also picked up another injury issue.

Starting with the club's £60m summer signing, which of these players could Richarlison be facing?

Indeed, having been sent packing from Qatar, Richarlison almost immediately returned to Hotspur Way for scans which shone some light on the hamstring issue he had sustained.

And now, Gold has provided the latest and it is not good news for Spurs who will now be without their Brazilian forward until the new year as he now begins his rehabilitation:

(0:30) “Bad news on the Richarlison front. He’s had his scan on that hamstring injury looks like five to six weeks. That obviously could, I think that will mean actually from the date of the injury itself.

“So that would then mean mid-January, hopefully at the best back, unless he obviously recovers quickly.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

This does feel like a big blow for Antonio Conte who has already had a stop-start beginning to life in north London since making the move from Everton in the summer.

Do Richarlison's injuries concern you?

Goals in the Premier League have been hard to come by for the 25-year-old with his only two goals in a Spurs shirt coming in the Champions League (via Transfermarkt).

And having just returned from another injury issue before the World Cup break, Conte would have been hoping to have all of his forward options available for the restart on Boxing Day.

With the Brazilian also impressing during his time in Qatar, it only rubs further salt in the wound with Richarlison showing the Spurs fans what he is capable of but now set to watch on from the stands for at least the next month.
