Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has hinted that he could leave the club in the next transfer window to move to the Premier League.

The Frenchman is currently thriving at the World Cup, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, there is no shortage of interest.

Manchester United were reportedly close to a deal in the summer for the former Paris Saint-Germain star, and he could even move in January once the tournament in Qatar concludes.

Speaking to GOAL, the 27-year-old expressed his desire to play in England, without specifying which club he could join or when.

“I have always said that I would like to play in England in my career,” Rabiot stated.

“Will it be at the end of my contract? I don’t know, but I have this goal.

“I don’t have a favourite team, there isn’t really a club where I would necessarily like to play. It is above all [that] its level attracts me. I also think that the way of playing corresponds more to my qualities.”

TIF thoughts on Rabiot…

Given his impressive form at the World Cup, signing an experienced player in his prime on a free transfer would be an attractive proposition for most of the top Premier League teams, and United could even potentially return for him despite signing Casemiro from Real Madrid in the summer.

Juventus could be tempted to cash in after these comments if an offer arrives in January, with it seeming clear that his long-term future does not lie in Turin, and recouping a transfer fee could help them source a replacement for a player who has scored five goals in 16 appearances this season.

The central midfielder has made 145 appearances since his arrival from PSG in 2019 and could become a valuable asset in England.
