Journalist Pete O’Rourke believes that Lyndon Dykes could be the subject of interest from Rangers and especially if Alfredo Morelos leaves the club.
Dykes, of course, worked under new Gers boss Michael Beale in his previous post in west London with Queens Park Rangers.
The Australian-born Scotland international previously spent time with both Queen of the South and Livingston north of the border but made the switch to the R’s in 2020.
That same summer the 27-year-old was linked with a £2m move to Ibrox while Steven Gerrard was in charge with Beale also in the dugout.
Now, when discussing the possibility of a transfer following the 42-year-old manager’s appointment O’Rourke told This Is Futbol:
“It’s one that does have obvious links. You’ve got Lyndon Dykes who has played under Michael Beale and scored goals in the Championship for Queens Park Rangers.
“Rangers possibly could be in the market for a new striker and especially if Alfredo Morelos was to leave the club as well so I’m sure Lyndon Dykes is somebody that would definitely be on the radar for Rangers if they do need to bring in a striker.”

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, recurring behavioural problems and fitness concerns, we think the Bears may well decide to cut ties with Morelos.
Should they choose to go down that route, Beale could well go to the board and ask for a reunion with his centre-forward from his previous role.
No player scored more goals than Dykes who has six for QPR this term while only three players were used more times during Beale’s short tenure at Loftus Road.
With Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak also available for selection though it would be interesting to see whether the Bromley-born coach feels investment is required in his front line.
