Presenter Dave Azzopardi has claimed that young Wolves defender Hugo Bueno has done enough to keep his spot in the team when Premier League action returns.

Since mid-November, domestic football in the English top flight had been put to one side during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

However, now the winter tournament has come to an end, teams like Wolves will soon be in top-flight action again. In the league, Julen Lopetegui’s men are back in action against Everton away from home on Boxing Day.

Prior to the Spaniard’s opening game in charge against Gillingham, while speaking on Talking Wolves, Azzopardi claimed that 20-year-old full-back Bueno deserves to keep his spot in the team.

He said: “I think Hugo Bueno has done more than enough to keep his place in the first team and he’s probably going to start against Everton in the league on Boxing Day as well.”
