Transfer journalist Ryan Taylor believes that Wolves will be very busy during the January transfer window.

Wolves are currently propping up the Premier League table and clearly recognise they need to take drastic action during the upcoming window, and are thought to have moved very quickly to secure the signing of Matheus Cunha, who is reportedly set to undergo his Molineux medical very soon.

Cunha, while not being prolific during his time in Spain, is a Brazil international and would hand Julen Lopetegui another attacking option alongside his misfiring attackers, who have struggled for form this term.

However, speaking on his YouTube channel, Taylor doesn’t believe Wolves will be slowing down anytime soon.

He said: “There’s talk they are close to signing Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid, which would be a statement and a big boost for them. I expect Wolves to be heavily active.”

TIF Thoughts on Wolves’ January transfer plans…

It’s no surprise that Wolves are looking to be very busy next month as they are in desperate need of reinforcements given they’ve got just 10 points on the board and have scored just eight goals in 15 league games.

Last night’s Carabao Cup win should give the players and Lopetegui a confidence boost heading into their game against fellow relegation candidates Everton on Boxing Day, especially with long-time servant Raul Jimenez getting back amongst the goals.

Which former Man United man almost joined Wolves?

If Wolves are going to continue bringing in players of Cunha’s ability and pedigree, we think their fans should be very confident that the club can start to move away from the relegation zone and enjoy the second half of the season.
