Mauricio Pochettino is unlikely to join a rival club due to his affection for Tottenham Hotspur, it has been claimed.

The former Spurs boss is currently out of work having been sacked by Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, despite having just won the French league title.

He has since been said to be in with a possible chance of returning to Tottenham in the not-too-distant future should Antonio Conte leave the Premier League side.

Adding further fuel to that particular fire, noted insider ExWHUemployee has now claimed that Pochettino has privately stated he wouldn’t be keen on taking over at West Ham United if David Moyes was sacked due to his ties to the north Londoners.

The insider explained on The West Ham Way podcast: “Pochettino has said about the West Ham job specifically that he wouldn’t want to manage West Ham because he’s still got strong affections for Tottenham.

“He hasn’t publicly come out and said it, but he said it to a source of mine when asked the exact question of whether he’d be interested in taking the job from David Moyes.”
