Journalist Sacha Pisani took to Twitter to share an image he saw of Newcastle United’s Garang Kuol in club attire.
The tweet shows the 19-year-old prospect taking a picture with an Australian fan in Qatar while wearing a Newcastle top.
In September, the Magpies agreed a deal to bring the youngster to Tyneside, with Kuol set to join in January from A-League side Central Coast Mariners
Kuol has been at the World Cup with Australia. They finished second in Group D, to advance to the round of 16, but were then knocked out by Argentina in a 2-1 defeat. Kuol had a big chance late on to score a dramatic equaliser, but his shot was stopped by Emiliano Martinez.
Attaching the image, Pisani also wrote on Twitter: “Newcastle fans will love this. Garang Kuol returning to Australia after the World Cup… wearing a NUFC jersey.”

Not long after signing, the 19-year-old was spotted in the Newcastle away end against Fulham. With Eddie Howe’s side winning 4-1 that day, it was a double whammy for fans to get three points and meet a future player.
Kuol had an impressive start to the 2022/23 A-League campaign, providing four goal contributions in just four games.
The season before that, the winger put up some more impressive numbers, getting five goal contributions in eight A-League fixtures.
With numbers like that, Newcastle will hope they can develop Kuol into a future star. There are no doubts from us that with the images from social media, he definitely loves the fact he’s a Newcastle United player.
