Manchester United starlet Anthony Elanga is fed up at the club, according to journalist Simon Phillips.

The winger has made 15 appearances this season, but just five starts in the Premier League, with the likes of Antony and Alejandro Garnacho ahead of him in the pecking order.

The 20-year-old has provided four goals and three assists in 44 senior appearances, but clearly needs a run of games to help him fulfil his potential and this looks unlikely at the moment.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Phillips claimed that the winger is fed up with his situation, and he could move in the next window, possibly on loan, with Everton mooted as a destination.

“Frank Lampard has been wanting attacking options since the summer. He was disappointed that they didn’t get on top of that and believes they’ve stayed quite short-handed in that position,” he stated.

“Elanga has become a bit fed up at United. He’s said to be assessing his options for the next couple of windows.”

TIF thoughts on Elanga…

Although he has a lot of potential, he has not shown enough yet to be regularly starting league games under Erik ten Hag, and a loan move would be good for all parties.

United would be unwise to let him go permanently now and risk him developing into a top player way beyond his current value.

A loan to Everton would suit the 20-year-old, as he can gain regular minutes, whilst the Toffees will be gaining some much-needed firepower from the Swede, who is rated at £35 million (CIES).

With Lampard’s side struggling near the bottom of the league, if he were to go on loan and help them stay up, his stock would rise rapidly and attract more interest, should United not be keen on keeping him beyond his loan.
