Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t be interested in becoming Germany manager should the role become available.

Pressure has been cast on the future of Hansi Flick as the Germany manager after another terrible World Cup saw them crash out in the group stages for the second tournament in a row.

Although no decision on his future has been made by the German FA, Romano insisted in his video update that the former Bayern Munich boss has no intention to resign.

Despite the 57-year-old’s defiant stance on his position the FA may still pull the trigger with Romano also clearing up the future of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who was seen as a potential replacement.

(1:00) “We heard some rumours about Jurgen Klopp for Germany… No. Jurgen Klopp at the moment has no intention to leave Liverpool, he’s 100% focused on Liverpool’s project. He’s already working with Liverpool board on new signings for 2023,” Romano said.

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

It’s another important time in Die Mannschaft’s history with the typically imperious national team failing to make consecutive World Cup knockout rounds for the first time ever.

Despite, Liverpool’s struggles this year which leaves them 15 points off the pace of league leaders Arsenal, it’s unsurprising to see him be uninterested in the German job.

The Reds are potentially heading through a transitional period with four first-team players including Roberto Firmino in the final year of their contract and stars Mohammed Salah and Virgil van Dijk both the wrong side of 30.

With Romano reporting of new arrivals planned for the upcoming year, Klopp will see this as the chance to rejuvenate his side and lead them back to a position they can once again challenge for the title.
