Phil Hay has claimed that despite being tipped to leave Leeds United, Jesse Marsch has been recently impressed with Cody Drameh’s performances.
Drameh appears to be unhappy over his situation at Leeds given that he asked to leave last January on loan and is now being linked with moves to the likes of Borussia Dortmund, with the defender not getting any significant minutes under Jesse Marsch.
The young defender appears to be behind both Rasmus Kristensen and Luke Ayling in the pecking order although he has featured in the club’s last two midseason friendlies as well as working hard behind the scenes.
This is according to Hay who spoke about the defender and how he’s continuing to impress without getting a lot of minutes on The Phil Hay Show.
“Burnley and Watford are two clubs who’d very much like Drameh, but Drameh seems to sway back and forward between on the fringes and then suddenly doing well and Marsch was speaking him up in a big way today [Thursday].

“People around the club are saying he’s been impressed with Drameh over the last month or so and that Drameh’s trained extremely well. He seems to be more in the picture now than he was, say when the season was pausing back in the summer.”
TIF Thoughts on Drameh’s future…
It appears to be a very tricky situation for Marsch and Leeds to be in with Drameh as he’s clearly a talented player having won Cardiff City’s Player of the Season award last season, but having just signed Rasmus Kristensen over the summer, it’s difficult for him to get regular minutes.
Given the interest from some top clubs across Europe, Drameh may well have already had his head turned heading into the January transfer window and think no matter what he does, there won’t be a good enough future at Leeds.
Drameh may well have played himself into a sticky spot having impressed behind the scenes at Leeds because Marsch may now not be keen on him leaving next month after seeing what he’s capable of, which could well halt his growth and development even further.
