Journalist Beren Cross has claimed that Leeds United World Cup stars Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson will return to the club on 12th December.
While most of the footballing world will have their focus predominantly aimed at the events going on in Qatar right now, Premier League clubs are starting to prepare for the return of domestic action.
Indeed, Leeds will spend this week in Spain on a five-day training camp as they look ahead to the second half of the season. And while many senior players have travelled, certain World Cup players have not gone.
In an update shared on a Facebook stream for LeedsLive, Cross explained that the trio of Adams, Kristensen and Aaronson would have some more time off despite seeing their nations fall out of the winter tournament.
He said: “You have got Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson, of course, who exited the World Cup and will be joining up with the teammates at Thorp Arch on December 12th, we understand. So they’re the players that are missing [from the training camp].”
TIF Thoughts on Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson and Leeds…
Adams and Aaronson both represented the United States at the World Cup and managed to get out of their group. However, they lost to the Netherlands in the last 16 and so won’t play any further part.
USA captain Adams played the full 90 minutes in every game. While Aaronson didn’t start any games, he did come off the bench in every match.
Kristensen was trusted to start in all three of Denmark’s games but couldn’t help his nation avoid disappointment as they crashed out at the group stages.
At least the relative early exits for all three players should allow them to get some rest before returning to club action well before their next fixture.
