Everton will be closely monitoring the situation of Blackburn striker Ben Brereton-Diaz with a view to a transfer on the cheap, according to Pete O’Rourke.
The Chilean forward is out of contract at the end of the season, and Blackburn could sell in January to avoid losing him for free.
The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals in 26 games this season, and is on the radar of Premier League clubs.
Speaking to This Is Futbol, O’Rourke has claimed that Frank Lampard’s side will keep an eye on his situation in case they can secure him in January for a low price.
“Everton might be thinking that they could land the Chile international on a cut-price fee,” he stated.
“I’m sure they’ll be looking at that situation and seeing if they can maybe lure him away from Blackburn.”

The Stoke-On-Trent-born striker has been clinical in the Championship for the last two seasons, with 22 goals in 37 games in the last campaign, and could be an ideal January addition.
With Salomon Rondon leaving, the club need competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin upfront, and signing a striker with a good recent goal record could mean he is likely to hit the ground running.
Everton are currently 17th in the Premier League after a disappointing start to the season, and any injection of quality is necessary as they look to avoid the drop.
At 23 years of age, Diaz is a signing that can make an impact now, whilst also looking ahead to the long-term future, and if he continues on his current trajectory, he could develop into a reliable striker for the club.
