Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping tabs on Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, with a view to a transfer either in January or at the end of the season.

The Slovakian has just a few months left on his deal, meaning that unless he signs fresh terms, he could leave the San Siro on a free transfer this summer.

Inter may be tempted to cash in on the 27-year-old, who has attracted interest from Europe’s biggest clubs in the past.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Italian journalist Carlo Garganese claimed that PSG are one of a number of clubs interested in the centre-back.

“[Tottenham Hotspur] are certainly looking at him. There are lots of teams looking at him. PSG are the team that are most interested in him,” Garganese stated.

“PSG tried to sign him in the summer. They were in negotiations with Inter for a long time.”

TIF thoughts on Skriniar…

The centre-back comes highly rated and even dubbed a “monster“, and given that he could be available at a cut price, it is no wonder that top clubs are interested in him.

With Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Ramos, both suffering from injury problems within the last year, extra quality depth in the position would be welcome for Christophe Galtier, and a Serie A-winning defender with plenty of European experience under his belt could provide a boost in January.

Ramos in particular has missed plenty of football since his arrival last season, and at the age of 36, may not be relied upon as a regular starter throughout the season.

An extra body in rotation would help manage his fitness to appear in the biggest games, and someone with Skriniar’s quality would be too good an opportunity to turn down.
