Tottenham Hotspur’s reported target Ruslan Malinovskyi would tick a lot of boxes for Antonio Conte amid links to the Atalanta midfielder.

This has been suggested by George Sessions who has recently featured on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel to discuss Fabio Paratici’s plans for the January window.

There have been strong links hinting at Tottenham’s interest in the Ukrainian over recent transfer windows with Fabrizio Romano saying the player was dreaming of a Spurs move.

Starting with the club's £60m summer signing, which of these players could Richarlison be facing?

A move away in January does feel like a real possibility for the 29-year-old who now has just a matter of months left on his deal, meaning this is the last opportunity for Atalanta to make some money out of him.

And with the January transfer window on the horizon, Sessions believes this is a player who could bring a lot to Conte’s side following recent injuries to the likes of Dejan Kulusevski:

(43:00) “There’s been a lot of noises about Ruslan Malinovskyi. I think Alasdair Gold said this week as well, the sort of interest remains there. And I just think that makes a lot of sense, to be honest, that ticks so many boxes, you know, contract’s running down, I think 18 months left.”

“And I think if suppose could bring in someone like Ruslan Malinovskyi, I think that’d be that’d be a good bit of business.”

TIF Thoughts on Sessions’ comments…

There may be some question marks over the midfielder’s current form with just one goal and two assists to his name in his 14 appearances in Serie A this season (via Transfermarkt).

However, it has to be said Kulusevski did not arrive at Spurs in January with a glistening return from his time at Juventus and he has come on leaps and bounds.

Fabio Paratici’s Serie A signings have worked out incredibly well so far, and with the need for another attacking midfielder, it would be interesting to see if Malinovskyi could replicate the success of Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.
