Tottenham Hotspur may have now been hit with another injury issue ahead of their upcoming game against Leeds United on Saturday.

This has been suggested by the reliable journalist Alasdair Gold who has been speaking on his latest YouTube video following Spurs’ Carabao Cup exit.

The Lilywhites were left embarrassed again at the City Ground on Wednesday night as the Premier League’s bottom side ended Antonio Conte’s hopes of lifting the League Cup in convincing fashion.

And during that game, left wing-back Ryan Sessegnon appeared to pick up an injury issue with the 22-year-old spotted holding his hamstring in the second half.

Starting with the club's £60m summer signing, which of these players could Richarlison be facing?

Because Spurs had already used up their five substitutions, Sessegnon was forced to play the remainder of the game and Gold noted how he limped off the pitch at full-time:

(28:00) “So what happened if you weren’t aware, as Spurs were about to make their fifth and final sub which was Djed Spence coming on for Matt Doherty. Ryan Sessegnon signaled over and tried to he did try to wave over and essentially say, it looked like he was holding his hamstring, which is rubbish with his history, but he was, really feel for him if that is the case.”

“And honestly final whistle, I did feel for it because he kind of collapsed to the turf, clearly injured.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

One thing which is certain is Sessegnon played seriously below par on Wednesday night – even before his injury. And it was apparent Gold thought the same as he awarded him a mere 3/10 rating.

Is Sessegnon good enough for Spurs?

It has been another up-and-down start to the campaign for the Englishman with two goals in the league also matched with a number of dismal displays where he hasn’t been able to provide an assist.

A real lack of consistency seems to be the issue for Sessegnon and with the World Cup break coming up next week, we do wonder whether Sessegnon will be risked this weekend if he is struggling with an injury issue.
