Journalist Sacha Pisani has praised Celtic ace Reo Hatate after his display for the Scottish club in their friendly match earlier this week.

With the 2022 Qatar World Cup now upon us, club football is set to take a long break. However, the Bhoys have taken the opportunity to head over to Australia and give fans from across the globe the chance to watch them in action.

Indeed, Celtic travelled the great journey to take on Premier League outfit Everton in a game that ended 0-0 and was settled on penalties, with Anthony Gordon winning the match for the Toffees.

Despite the loss, it seems as though one man really stood out and Pisani certainly didn’t shy away from praising Hatate for his efforts on the day.

He took to Twitter to say: “It’s crazy to think Reo Hatate only made his Celtic debut in January.

“A beast in midfield. Quality touch, aware and shot.

“Fantastic signing and the best is YET to come for club and country.”

Do you think Hatate deserved to go to the World Cup?

TIF thoughts on Reo Hatate and Celtic…

It seems as though, Pisani wasn’t the only one to note the impressive performance of the Celtic star. For instance, in the Celts Are Here, Hatate was named a ‘stellar performer’ and praised for his ‘breathtaking’ passing range.

The 24-year-old has been an integral part of his manager’s plans up to this stage in the season, playing 20 games in all competitions – which has included starting every Champions League group stage match.

Seeing as he seems to be so highly rated, it is a bit of a surprise that Hatate was not called up to play for Japan at the World Cup, he has just one cap for his nation but surely more will follow.
