Former SPFL striker Tam McManus believes that Josip Juranovic will leave Celtic in January.

It comes amid reports suggesting that the Hoops are prepared to listen to offers for the right-back.

According to Football Insider, the 27-year-old is open to the idea of moving to an ‘elite’ club, and the Bhoys will sanction a move should their asking price be met.

Juranovic is currently in Qatar as part of the Croatia squad as they prepare for their Group F opener with Morocco on Wednesday.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer’s The Football Show, when asked if was he surprised that the Hoops were looking at offers for Juranovic, McManus said:

“No. I did say that on this show two or three weeks ago.

“I’ve been disappointed with him this season. I thought last season he looked the business; this season, not as good, and I’m not surprised at that.

“I think if he has a good World Cup, I think Celtic might decide to cash in on him.”

TIF Thoughts on Juranovic and Celtic…

Would you sell Juranovic for £15m?

Yes

No

The 21-cap international arrived at Parkhead in the summer of 2021 for just £2.5m, but the Bhoys could make a considerable profit on the former Hajduk Split man.

Atletico Madrid have been mentioned as potential suitors in the past, and with the £16k-per-week star’s contract running until 2026, the Scottish champions hold a strong negotiating position.

A report in The Scotsman previously claimed that the club would ask for £15m if they were to part ways with the 5ft 8in defender, but a productive tournament in Qatar would see Juranovic’s stock rise and he could very well be on his way in January.
